Made in Britain

A new award has been created that will recognise the ingenuity of British engineering companies.

The 'Made in Britain' award will honour products and technologies that are developed, designed and manufactured in Britain. The award will recognise new products or technologies; refinements of existing products or technologies introduced to market in the past two years.

The nominations need not be mass-market; rather the judges will be looking for evidence of technical excellence, innovation and international potential.

The Made in Britain award will be part of the Growing Business Awards, which are organised by entrepreneur website and magazine Real Business and the CBI.

Other awards categories include Company of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, International Business of the Year, 'Local Hero' or Digital Elite: Innovator of the Year.

Nominations close on September 30, 2011. For further information, please visit the website or email Alexis Carlson at alexis.carlson@caspianmedia.com.
