Lara Morgan

Lara Morgan is most widely known for building her own international business,Pacific Direct, over the course of seventeen years before selling a majorityshare 99% holding of the company for £20 million in 2008.

Lara is passionate about high growth business support and motivating business-owners. She has a number of exciting new ventures including Company Shortcuts, a source of practical advice and frameworks to enable mid-sizebusinesses to achieve accelerated growth. Lara is an active mentor in a numberof social enterprises including Afrikids and the leading ethical cotton underwear company Pants to Poverty. She is a regular commentator oncurrent affairs and business issues with Sky and BBC News. Known for her occasionally controversial views, Lara is also a fantastic motivationalspeaker.

Shehas been a finalist in Ernst and Young Entrepreneur 3 times and in 2005 she was a finalist in the Veuve Clicquot Businesswoman of the Year Award.  She is the author of the recently published Amazon best selling business book, ‘More Balls Than Most’ , is a co-founder of StartUp Britain and an Ambassador for UKTI Export. A mother of three, taking it all in her stride, Lara also manages to compete for GB in the World Championships.
